While some are fought on the battlefield, others unfold in army hospitals, where doctors and medical teams race against time to save the lives of those who serve the nation. This Independence Day, EPIC Studios and COLORS brings one such untold story to the screen with 108 Base Hospital – Uri, its first-ever series set in an Army hospital and a finite series exploring the lives of the medical heroes behind the frontline.
Set in an Indian Army base hospital in Uri, the series follows the doctors, nurses and medical personnel who work tirelessly under pressure to save wounded soldiers and give them a chance to return to their families and, where possible, to the frontlines.
Produced by The Epic Company and co-produced by A-Game Entertainment, the series features Erica Fernandes as Dr. Major Naina, Gashmeer Mahajani as Dr. Major Aniruddh, Nikkhil Khurana as Major Sameer Dixit, Ayoshi Talukdar as Dr Captain Mili Banerjee, Hiten Tejwani as Dr Col. Suryakant Thakur and Smita Bansal as Lt. Col. Principal Matron Kavita Jha. 108 Base Hospital – Uri premieres on August 15 and will thereafter air every Saturday and Sunday at 8 PM on COLORS and JioHotstar.
At the centre of 108 Base Hospital – Uri is Dr Major Naina, played by Erica Fernandes, a determined Army doctor who remains composed under pressure and treats every patient with unwavering commitment. Alongside her is Dr Major Aniruddh, portrayed by Gashmeer Mahajani, whose compassion is matched by his clinical precision and sense of duty. Though their shared past has left unresolved differences, their commitment to their profession remains stronger than their personal conflicts.
Adding another dimension to the story is Major Sameer Dixit, played by Nikkhil Khurana. Known as Tiger among his peers and respected for his courage on the battlefield, Sameer brings the same determination to every mission. Drawn to Naina’s intelligence and humility, he develops feelings for her, adding an emotional layer to the story. Yet, when duty calls, personal differences and emotions take a back seat as the team comes together with one purpose: saving the lives of the soldiers in their care.
